This is unrelated to the above - there was a network outage earlier this evening, which I gather is now resolved (but it's evening for this particular LP staff member).

This is something you'll have to contact the maintainer of that PPA about.

It's also always been an important part of Launchpad that it can help developers keep track of work done in places other than Launchpad, and so we continue to support things like recipe builds of git repositories mirrored from elsewhere and tracking bugs in other bug trackers.

Projects in progress include building container images on the LP build farm, improving the security of our code signing arrangements used for UEFI Secure Boot and similar, fixing some complex publishing edge cases in the Ubuntu archive, as well as general code maintenance.

We're focused on supporting Ubuntu's needs in particular, but also in making LP more pleasant to use in general - not least because that makes our own lives easier!

We're still actively developing Launchpad, and recently hired some new staff to help. We're aware that many projects have migrated to other platforms, but LP is still critical infrastructure for Ubuntu in particular.

Looks like buildd-manager got stuck earlier. We restarted it, which should help.

OK. In that case fetching GPG keys goes directly to the keyserver, which isn't part of Launchpad. If problems persist it would be best to contact Canonical's sysadmins at rt.com.

What Ubuntu release are you running add-apt-repository from? (This may not seem relevant, but up to IIRC 18.04 it fetched the key directly from the keyserver, while in later releases it goes via an endpoint on Launchpad.)

FWIW has nothing to do with mirror operations. (But I think I saw something about this go by on -mirrors on IRC, so it might be fixed now?)

Looks like we had a router outage about eight or nine hours ago (I was asleep, colleagues were dealing with it). Seems to be mostly sorted out now.

This was a network outage in one of Canonical's data centres, now fixed. (Note that the keyservers aren't part of Launchpad, though, so we can't necessarily help with them from this account.)

We've rescheduled the maintenance once more, now for up to two hours from 2019-11-19 01:00 UTC (about 25.5 hours from now). Apologies for the changes - better safe than sorry!
