Simply put, Its glaringly evident that the repeated lies of " passed through" preached by the proponents of REIPPs its nothing more than hogwash. FY19, Eskom revenue increased by R2.5bn, while IPPs costs increased by R5.9bn. Keep saying that IPPs are not the problem

This was the case even in FY15 when most BW1 projects came online, Eskom revenue increased by R9.4bn, while IPPs costs grew by R6.2bn from R3.3bn to R9.45bn....This effectively means that large portion of Eskom increase was absorbed by IPPs costs, negatively affecting Eskom RoE.

Why do you think the Chairman of went to the and spoke about coal issues, Trillian and McKinsey but elected not to mention the most important problem of Eskom; which is the is stealing of part of the R465bn at Medupi and Kusile?

So went is the thieving of the R465bn by the Guptas not topical at the ? I have had a lot about coal issues and Trillian but nothing about the R465bn that was sunk into Medupi and Kusile and disappeared there. How come?

It is interesting that the thieving at Medupi and Kusile is not topical at the and yet the bulk of the R465bn debt was sunk and stolen at Medupi and Kusile. The theory of state capture at has completely missed the boat.

I have told you many times. Let me do it again 1. Target 0% increases on coal purchases 2. Stop using diesel to keep the lights on 3. Renegotiate BW 1-3 contracts & target a saving of R10bn per yr 4. Increase sales volume by exporting to South DRC 5. Arrest Medupi/Kusile thieves

Hence I am on record that no amount of bail or restructuring will safe . Eskom input costs increases by 17% but its tariff is regulated and only increase by 5%. That's madness. There will be no Eskom in the next 3-5 years. Its call death spiral.

With the poorly designed REIPPP, I can not overrule that what's happening in Ghana will not happen in SA. has to perform at EAF of 80% then hell will break loose. To protect the IPPs, the current leadership at Eskom has no incentives to drive EAF performance to 80%
