This is awesome. filmed an evil maid attack demo of flashing malicious EUFI firmware onto the SPI flash chip by remove a laptop case, with just 4 minutes of physical access

This is PHP, surely you didn't expect any sort of internal logical consistency.

Wouldn't it chuck all of the wood that a wood lathe chuck would chuck if you chucked up some wood? :P

4 officers just showed up on my doorstep. they showed their badges and asked to speak to someone inside my house. i instantly saw their guns. when i asked if they had a warrant, an officer threatened to come back with a warrant and rip my door off its hinges. (1/?)

People are probably going to call me naive for thinking it was all good faith. And, well, they're probably right. However, I prefer to err on the side of false negatives than false positives. so.......

I want to believe it was all in good faith, and at least in reswitched itself, there were several notices of "don't bug ktemkin" -- probably because that's where the attention was drawn in regards to vitreol to ktemkin.

Frankly, I don't like this situation. I don't like any of what's gone down in this scene. Like others, I'm losing interest in doing anything with the switch. However, I'm still a half-op, and I'm going to do my best to moderate.

Tbh, I don't disagree. There have been at least one talk in the half-op channel where we talked about this and decided to change the unprobation policy to something that requires a bit more work. It is, perhaps, too little, too late, though, since we didn't kick a bunch of people

I get it. Correct information > joking false information though. There's been enough false/misleading/incorrect information flying around in the past that... well, I suspect some people would accuse me of not being very fun at parties. ;)

No. RCM still works, RCM itself isn't the problem. It's a vulnerability used in the USB stack of RCM, which will prevent payloads from working.

Thanks for reminding me! Kept wanting to do so and then forgetting. Finally got me to write a bio, too.
