You think maybe that was people from PornHub testing their support for the console, by using an emulator on their computer?

And this is why I use LineageOS instead of using whatever came with the phone.

Some people read it as the former. Some read it as the latter. Not sure that there's much anyone can do about that. This sort of thing seems to happen with a lot of different things.

Actually, hold on, did spectre have a JS PoC? I know Meltdown did.

Um? iOS uses arm processors, which are still vulnerable to Spectre afaik, even if not Meltdown.

It looks like a taunt to some because they mentioned that they glitched the switch, and then xecuter says that they're going to be releasing something quite soon afterwards. There may be a tad bit of overreaction, which is why they're retracting the "stolen work claim"

Sad that your CPU is broken? These microarchitectures were advertised as "Out-of-Order" from the very beginning.

So... I guess they were responding to spectre and not meltdown?

Also, it looks like they're getting early boot execution. If they only allow piracy, and leave no way to do homebrew or full system control, then there's a reason to crack it open.

Different people are interested in different things. I don't think anybody is happy with selling piracy (besides the people who make their profit off of it)

There's *two* vulnerabilities. Meltdown is the one that AMD isn't affected by, because of the speculation past privilege boudaries. Spectre affects everything, and is the one that you described above.
