They're very slow though. Their brains are too small, so they spend hours developing and memorizing plans before eating someone!
They can also jump. Imagine spiders not crawling, but jumping at you out of someone's eyes!

Couldn't come up with a clever way to exploit this, so I'll just pick Portia spiders: they're super smart and eat other spiders

Question: is there any good article or essay about all the ways things can get... 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯?
As a kid tracking in mud, I was puzzled by the laws of cleanliness: dirtiness can be moved but not destroyed; all things only get dirtier; things do not spontaneously clean themselves.

It's designed to produce controversy. Reasonable positions do not.
You can't signal your loyalty to your social group by advocating for a solution that would also be supported by other social groups.

These two seem similar: selfish choice in a collective action problem has negative externalities

If their phone has the ability to put people on hold, will it work? Can I call myself and ask him to call himself without hanging up?

I second this question.
Building institutions in the real world takes way too much time.
I wish we had an easier way to build a simulation with custom rules and let people explore it. We have the technology, we just don't have anyone with incentives to build such a tool.

Surprising truth about people: While they might pay lipservice most don't believe in multistep plans.
This means you can be incredibly direct about what you're doing.
