It's the "Oh, you need to take us soooo seriously, EU. We will do it! We really will! Then you'll be soooo sorry. You will." of Brexiters you've got to laugh at.

"It's a price worth paying!" say people who envisage others doing the paying.

They also have a *lot* of DVB-T (with CI paid-for access!)

It's a testament to math, physics, and chemistry that we threw a thousand pound clump metal off the Earth in 2006 (@NewHorizons2015) and managed to fly it this near to the mountaintops of Pluto nine years later. pic.twitter.com/N7RF3KI8ce

The BBC reaction to Nicky Morgan saying the BBC faces being Blockbuster in a Netflix-world is the punchiest I've seen in a while. pic.twitter.com/i7pSUnm4Lc

Similar effects in cycling. Quite a few useful things from the innovation (like electric changers).

Could just as well be UK-only Brits being overlooked for jobs that require business travel. Lordy are Brexiters dumb as rocks.

Also innovation in technique. In soccer they had to change the rules for throw-ins several times due to people working out new throwing techniques. In badminton people got too good at spinning the shuttle on serve so they had to ban the technique.

I did see it - because it’s in the same chart. But yeah, I forgot that they will want to sell us their BMWs, we hold all the cards, it will be the easiest trade deal in history. 🤪

It’s not the cable cutting that’s the big deal: it’s the finger cutting.

Why shouldn’t it be based on number of windows? Or height above sea level? Or distance from the nearest Spud-U-Like?

Yep, true. Which is why business rates are so awful: they’re due regardless (and they’re huge, generally more than the rent).

And not sure you can use “successful business” as one that merely happens not to need many windows. If you started taxing businesses based on the number of vowels in the name then Kyzyl Ltd. wouldn’t suddenly become a successful business.

TBF, the real failing model is business rates: it’s very little different to a window tax.
