firmino fits the system well, has most of the attributes, needs to score more

i think it's a system issue - not many forwards who can play the way he wants. previously he had lewandowski which is a high bar

rodgers' 101-goal team lost out to a team that scored 102 goals. city's ability to score kept them close enough to capitalise on the slip

they were the top scorers in the league and let in more goals than an LFC defence containing phil babb,. & only two fewer than keegans' NUFC

apparent lack of interest from any english side in him was hard to understand. maybe he wasn't interested in going there

most title-winning teams do - these are champs since 2000-01 with their top scorers. average is 22, since 2010 average has gone up to 23

the article doesn't actually baldly state that as a fact - it says that's what some system managers, such as klopp & guardiola, believe

previous coach would have six across the penalty area with wingers tucked in outside full-backs, trivote ahead, plus striker. evolution.

i assumed that all those times he was reproaching the poet-fanciers at chelsea who told him to play more attacking football.

the stuff about five at the back is irrelevant. two attacking wing-backs, libero, kante obviously not just a "holder". he sold the holder.

if that's the case, then i totally disagree. you can't compare chelsea last season with leicester the season before.

so i thought it was meant more as a wind-up. you're saying you think he meant it literally, that conte's CFC really are "super-defensive"?

now, when i read that i interpreted it as JM taking a pop at chelsea hierarchy who were always on at him to play more attacking football

you're the one that shifted it to jose's quote from your interview about super-defensive teams.

pretty impressive considering the trainwreck he inherited. got top performances out of guys who had given up under previous permanent coach

chelsea 2016 scored 85 goals! their... second-highest total in PL era behind ancelotti's team of 2010?

similarly LFC's top-scoring PL season was the closest they've got to winning it, despite conceding 50 goals. but city scored even more...

the one time rafa's team were the top scorers was also the closest they got to winning it, yes. but they still didn't score enough (5x 0-0s)

i don't see poch as a defensive-minded coach. his team is just better at defending by attacking than klopp's. also he has better defenders
