To be honest I would have liked more! But yes, plenty to ski on and brighten the landscape. :)

Wow! That would explain the freezing rain we had at about that time.

Thanks! I’m surprised the Twitter app let you attach that. Mine greys out these Geocolor gifs. I assume it’s because they’re too big.

I can’t find an archived version of the one I posted, but here’s the current one, which, as of now, also shows the phenomenon of the moonlight. To find your own, go to your local NWS forecast and scroll down until you see the thumbnail, then click.

Just spent an enjoyable and occasionally educational ten minutes searching twitter for “you may know me from”.

Funny you should say that, several of the sculptures have been outdated since 1881, including the placement of the coelacanth on the “extinct” side and the passenger pigeon and other now-extinct species on the extant side. I think it only adds to the awesomeness myself.

I don’t know how active it still is, as I last used it in 2010, but maps snow tweets in the UK.

Regarding the students that were disrespectful to Nathan Phillips: I would ask the public NOT to share personal info to put them in troublesome situations. Though I do not condone their behavior ... It is not acceptable to perpetuate negativity even when faced with negativity.

Thank you to of and many others who identified the proud Native man who is being harassed. He is Mr. Nathan Phillips. I’m reposting this video from “ka_ya11” on IG. This man’s words pierce my heart. The grace. The wisdom. The hope.

Whatever you are doing now is what you would have done during the Civil Rights era, what you would have done during the rise of the Nazis, what you would have done during slavery, what you would have done during colonialism. This is what Bobby would have done.

We have to get more serious than this about what justice should like in this country.

The forecast is kinda weird here. Snow then freezing rain then snow, & it stays well below freezing the whole time. I mean, I know that’s how freezing rain works but it’s just weird to have in right in the middle of a nor’easter. There must be some interesting air mass layering.
