You know when you’re talking to your dog and they put their head to one side in exactly the same way people do when they’re trying to understand you? Is that an evolved behaviour designed to be endearing or is there a physiological reason? It seems too cute to be useful (like me)

Dreamed that I had snuck into and was wandering about trying to look at people’s monitors to see what they were working on but then I saw that was tailing me from a discreet distance and I ran away. Disappointed as I do need something to write today

I'd start with Conversations, but it doesn't really matter

Mostly (though Normal People starts in Sligo), but it's all about the characters

Trying so hard to write at the moment, but also totally gorging on Sally Rooney's books. Read Conversations with Friends in a day (the first time I've done that in *ages*) and now galloping through Normal People. They are so interesting, smart and thoughtful.

Lentil stew in the Young Ones kitchen. It’s topical too as it’s vegan.

Game making friends: if you're working on something that features a procedural narrative - especially if it gives players more agency in the story than usual, please let me know!

So I wrote for about being heavy, and the enduring feeling that weight leaves on you whether or not you ever lose it. Probably the most vulnerable writing I’ve ever done
