just watched the final cut of the launch trailer for and it’s hard to believe our bizarre little side project made it all the way here. can’t wait to show it to the world ✨

yeah the LA factor definitely makes it different. everyone i was super close to in seattle lived either in the city (~15 mins away) or on the east side (if you wait 'til 7, maybe a 25 min drive). in LA... 25 minutes is the bare minimum.

lots of game devs are sort of nomadic by necessity. i look at the ones who move in their 30s+ or with kids, and i wonder: how the hell do you put down roots? how do you make new friends? is there a secret i’m missing?

it gets a little easier every month, and i start to feel a little more like i'm where i'm supposed to be, but it sure is easy to just hole up with my husband for a couple weeks in a row and get locked in a pattern which takes intentional action to break.

life is really good, but it's been a year since we moved to LA and i miss seattle something fierce today. i've changed cities and "started over" in life before, but starting over while married & in your late 20s is very different from doing it fresh out of college. it's been hard
