50 feet per second. (50 feet / 1 second) *(3600 seconds/1 hour)*(1 mile /5280 feet) = approx 34 miles per hour. I happen to be in the passenger seat of a car in a 35 mile an hour zone right now, so this is the safe and legal option.

I vote Cake A. Cake B gives more square inch of cake per piece, but Cake A has a longer perimeter (more edge icing) AND is easier to cut in a way that equally distributes edge icing: in quarters and then triangles from the corner.

A1 Oddly enough I think the reason leadership activities have impacted me is being selected for them - realizing that people see me as leader material has added a facet to how I see what I do.

Kyle Boyd, Math Chair at the new Grafton satellite campus at Yorfton 🤣. Always inspired by my mentor Larry Ledoux in KIBSD who had incredible insight that guides me everyday.

A1 My go-to is definitely Algebra Tiles, from equation solving through quadratic factoring, but this year I got some XY boards I'm excited to give a try!

One group at a time, they got two out of three pieces: vertex, focus, directrix. Their instructions were basically: here is all I can tell you about the parabola, figure everything else out. They did an AMAZING job!

This was day 2 of parabolas, day 3 of the conics unit. Day 1 we completed the square to convert equations to vertex form. Day 2 we gave the equation and learned how to find all of the features and graph. Day 2 they walked into axes on the floor, and two features 1/2

A2 Trying requires being vulnerable during struggle in the classroom. We can't expect students to be willing to be vulnerable in an environment where they don't feel seen and respected as individuals.

A1 It's about being aware of what I don't know. I don't have to know every background to be sensitive to the fact that every student has a different one and be respectful of that.
