The mark the beginning of the presidential primary, yet well over 42,000 Iowans out of prison won’t have a say in choosing a presidential candidate. And 10% of the black voting-age population can’t vote because of a felony conviction.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley criticized the bill's criminalization of people who are not trafficking fentanyl and who need treatment, not prison terms. “We must have a deliberate conversation abou...the mandatory minimums embedded in this bill.”

Today was the first ever District Attorney Debate in a prison. We talked issues, we talked vision... but most importantly we affirmed our commitment to humanity and dignity. Being incarcerated shouldn’t mean you get cut out of being civically engaged- and for me it never will.

Florida is rushing so fast to ignore the process engaged in by elected State Attorney in order to take away a Black woman's authority that he can't even spell "capital felony" correctly in the order taking away her power.

To become a wildland firefighter, an incarcerated person must meet the same rigorous criteria as professional firefighters. Since AZ offers only minimal early release credits, one crew of incarcerated firefighters is fighting for a bill to change that.

17 years. That's how long Rosa Jimenez has been in jail for a crime she didn't commit. Four judges reviewed the entire case and concluded that Rosa is likely innocent. But DA Margaret Moore refuses to dismiss the case. Demand that DA Moore at .

First takeaway from on last night’s district attorney debate in Los Angeles: DA Jackie Lacey "says she's a reformer, but she's more conservative than her challengers."

Watching . Jackie Lacey is talking about only working for victims. This is so, so wrong and has been for so, so long. "A public prosecutor represents all people, even those accused of violating public law. (People v. Hail (1914) 25 . 342, 358.)"
