This , a simple plea: Rather than wait for the electric car to save us, we should look towards the humble bicycle, which—with the right policies in place—could immediately replace a significant number of short trips, and begin moving us in a more sustainable direction.

biking will never reach its full potential until poc feel safe from harassment. The best designed infra in the world won’t negate the fact that cops are still going to make you prove your citibike isn’t stolen. My #1 fear for youth of color on bikes is interaction with police.

The journalism industry would be a lot better off if more editors recognized that it's the 21st century and you don't need everyone who works for you to be sitting in your office in New York.

Hiring WOC is great but you also need to make them/us feel safe enough to tell you what you could be doing better - bc DGAF management positions are still disproportionately out of reach. otherwise all you’re doing is composing a nice staff photo (we can tell). Good morning!

Bought a TV stand last year and it was surprisingly good quality for the price. It also arrived in like two days.

the first time i was harassed by a source, i thought maybe i'd done something wrong to invite it. but it kept happening, so i figured i wasn't the only one -- and unfortunately, many of my colleagues of color report harassment from their sources:
