There’s still time! I read it regularly ... about every three years I break out my copy. Love this book. Maybe you will too?

I had the honor of going to the Galapagos more than 25 years ago. A highlight of my life. Remember following one of the gentle giants. Can’t wait for the book!!

I was the opposite in the spring —wanted to send books home and was told no. I snuck a few to students *safely* anyway. 😉

I just caught my 13 yo daughter still up at 12:30 am, totally absorbed in Black Brother, Black Brother. ‘Just five more pages...I can’t put it down!’ she said. 🥰

I believe her statement demonstrated a lack of understanding about GNs and I don’t believe that is condescension to say so. But I do hear your condescension and implication I’m a bully. Done w this conversation.

And again, pls reread my tweet. Nowhere did I say she did not have the right to choose formats ... I advocated for the value of GNs and privately hoped she would reconsider their worth...which she did.

Pls reread my tweet. Nowhere do I ‘push’ anything but disappointment at her lack of understanding about GNs as a medium and my assertion of their value. I advocate for educating oneself and freedom of choice, which is what our profession is about.

And I kept thinking ... does she see the Constitution as a living document? Because it seems like that would be a ‘no’ w her strict interpretations.

Awesome! Thank you for being open to hearing other opinions and learning from them. We don’t seem to have enough of that going around sometimes.
