Animals are central to my life. Like many of us they keep me grounded. This pandemic has happened because of our abuse of beautiful creatures. Used by us for food on an industrial scale. If we don’t learn by our mistakes it will continue to plague us Be wise Make change Be

Had to contact him but his whole team are like that so it's just a standard day for him :-D. I don't have a strong Glaswegian/Ayrshire accent, which doesn't help around these parts. And I look too young for them to take me seriously. They've admitted that before.

Even though that means plenty of back and forth with the client to check what they actually mean... and sometimes recommending changes to the original text. There's plenty to tear your hair out over these days. FAQs shouldn't be one of them.

Working on help centre copy today – transcreating from German to English. Translated German instructions (or any unclear FAQs) can reduce you to tears. I like to put myself in the stressed out customer's shoes and make them as easy to understand as possible.

Me: Would you mind doing me a favour? Could you possibly turn the music down a bit. Thanks. Workies: No way! Go away!! Only my boss can tell me to. [male boss] *Turns music up* Misogyny and aggression still alive and well in Ayrshire, I see.

Love Bake Off but when they said “you cooked the lamb well” I wanted to burst into tears. Because this is a lamb. Who wants to live just as much as the dog next to her. Why do we think it’s ok to eat one and not the other?

No, you’re not. Comparatively, there are way more blogs than podcasts. Even if it feels like we’re swimming in them. had stats on this but I can’t remember where

It can here too, but only if you say “where are you staying?” But “where do you stay” means “where do you live”.
