There's a --mount-proc option which helps. But when I've used unshare(1) I've had quite elaborate scripts to get everything right. Some of that was from using user namespaces from non-root, though, which needs careful sequencing.

Ouch! As well as being impossible to get through by tandem (i.e when travelling with kids), looks pretty dangerous coming down the slope.

Yes, 12 months with a choice of a few options for ownership transfer at the end. Not sure what varies between employers but it's .
