Remember when Jeremy Corbyn introduced the idea of a four-day working week and everyone laughed. And a month later, Finland's new PM introduced the idea of one for her country and everyone (here in Britain) thought it was an incredible new idea?

'Indignity!' He could have been describing the film itself

Wait, no, Brick Mansions is so bad it's good. It's my ability to read that's bad. Courier was just plain bad

I would say Brick Mansions falls into that category. And parts of Faster. I'll never forget that magazine plotline

This is a wild ride. Starting w/ a slightly interesting premise, it swiftly descends into caricature of HE & its workers. I lost it at mention of 'leisurely holidays' but nothing about overworked staff. Laughed so much my medieval robes almost came off...

I found an article recently that went through all the social media posts and tried to get to the bottom of it. I'll have to try and find it again

Hard to unravel, given so much is innuendo and has to be taken with a pinch of salt. But from what I remember, some of the cast were frustrated that Johnson reneged on a sort of pact they had to see the saga to completion. But, essentially, it seems like 2 mega egos

I was a fan of the family scenes, too. What I particularly liked is that it's so totally a Johnson film, in the same way the main saga is so overwhelmingly Diesel's. You can see how those on set beefs erupted

Yes, I know what you mean. I was expecting a seed of redemption to be developed one or two films down the line. But, like you said re. Shaw killing Han, it's never stopped them before - anyone can be redeemed if the franchise demands it

Definitely. Went to see FF1 in the cinema last week, which looked great on the big screen, and was wondering the same. All reports suggest this is the first of many spinoffs, so a more stripped back racing series could be possible there.

Look forward to hearing what you make of it. It's definitely got a different feel and tone to the main franchise, especially in the Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart scenes. And Idris Elba's character seems like a shift in what's possible within Furious-verse.
