Walker Buehler touched 98 mph in a simulated game this afternoon and will start for the Dodgers on Sunday against the Diamondbacks. Clayton Kershaw made progress in the same simulated game but will start the season on the IL.

Mike Trout doesn't buy the " are wasting his talent" narrative. He believes Arte Moreno and Billy Eppler have done everything they can to help the team, and that's enough. Read why Trout wanted to be an Angel when others thought he should leave:

Grimm Pickings: sign Justin Grimm to a minor league deal in hopes that the veteran RHP, slowed by a shoulder impingement in 2018, can regain something close to the form that made him a highly reliable reliever in 2015-2016.

Should’ve hit me up. I would’ve given up my spot real quick.

"I think as a player it’s tough when you see a guy that hasn’t played and you just kind of pay attention to their language and how they’re talking about stuff. When you talk with Robert, you realize right away he really understands the game."

As baseball gets younger and younger, Justin Turner continues to defy the industry trend. All he needs is that elusive championship. "I think it’s time we end that little drought.”

He'll get some starts there, but it's Kiké's spot.

For all you platoonists out there, the Dodgers will only have one strict platoon to begin the season: Joc Pederson and Chris Taylor in LF. Roberts said David Freese will start some vs. lefties, but Muncy will get his cracks, too. They see value in having Freese PH late in games.

Sounds like Enrique Hernandez will effectively be the Dodgers' starting second baseman. Chris Taylor will move around and start in left field against lefties.

Who's "in the mix" for the final spot in the Dodgers' bullpen? Dave Roberts: "A few guys, whether it’s internal or external." He mentioned Dennis Santana and Brock Stewart as internal options. They want length from that spot.

The Dodgers' rotation to begin the season will be Ryu, Stripling, Maeda, Buehler, and Urias. Urias just threw a bullpen and did some work out of the windup. He hasn't pitched out of the windup since before his shoulder surgery. He said it's a work in progress.

Asked who/what stood out this spring, Dave Roberts said, without hesitation, Dustin May.
