Presumably those people tweeting “look, Brexit has happened and everything is fine” aren’t the same people who say “staying in the Single Market and the Customs Union isn’t Brexit”?

While in general I do agree (e.g. we layered second-party non-repudiation on top of a deniable protocol), I think there is a practical difference in cases where deniability comes at a performance cost.

I reckon the UK should join the EU. Just a thought.

Blair on Brexit: Even now, I grind my teeth at the mind-boggling ineptitude of the Labour Party in helping facilitate it, first by failing to provide coherent opposition to it, and then by collapsing into a Brexit General Election, only to complain about it dominating the debate.

is absolutely right. We must fight for a fair and democratic electoral system in the UK, so your vote can count wherever you live and regardless of which party you support.

I know it’s trite to say this (again). But if the cryptographic A-team is willing to accept random elliptic curve parameters from strangers, imagine what kind of mistakes the B-team will make when you ask them to design crypto backdoors.

Strong security keeps people safe. It's great to see that today the government chose to make technology more secure, instead of using a vulnerability that could have undermined all of our safety.

An astrophotographer has clicked an exceptional video, wherein we can feel the rotation of the earth Using a tracking mount, aligned with North Star, he kept clicking images every 12 seconds for the next 3 hours. The camera is looking at the same portion of the Milky Way Fab!

Request to all software developers ... STOP DISABLING PASTE! Not sure when someone decided it was more *secure* to type in your password instead of simply pasting it ... but with today's randomly generated passwords ... they are not easy to type in! THANK YOU!

Jesus FUCKING christ this is irresponsible bullshit. The Y2K bug didn't end up causing widespread problems, not because it wasn't real, but because EVERYONE IN THE INDUSTRY WORKED THEIR ASSES OFF. This is like antivaxxers saying "no one dies from polio, obvs we don't need vax".

I realize everyone's twitter feed looks different. But I'll go ahead and subtweet two conversations that I see going by right now: a) How the heck did Shopify get so big this decade and b) You have to work 80 hours a week to be successful. Thread/
