Lots of replies asking why ‘rent boys’ is homophobic, so here’s context for anyone *genuinely* unsure. The chant originates from the 1980s when a Chelsea Headhunter was allegedly found with a male sex worker and is intended as an insult to suggest all Chelsea fans are gay. (1/3)

I have heard that one about the dawn raids too. No idea if that is where it originated from.

The devastation left behind by last night’s fire at in Paris has also produced this photo of the interior this morning, with the Cross standing defiantly against destruction. Could there be a better image for ?

Christ, out of love, sacrificed himself completely in order to save you. His outstretched arms on the cross are the most telling sign that he is a friend who is willing to stop at nothing.

Much more than history and heritage. Notre Dame shows the powerful hold that Christian buildings hold over our imaginations, even in secular W. Europe. They are physical symbols of the God who will never abandon his people, even if they forget their need of him.
