Well said Nick. Personal view? Because most well informed people understand and know that being gay is not choice (trust me it would be a *lot* easier to be straight) I feel sorry for the people who use religion to mask their embarrassing ignorance. It’s sad.

Tony Benn was my MP. I campaigned for him in the ‘97 election. He always treated people (even those he disagreed with) with courtesy & respect. I wish he was here today to tell these pound shop Socialists why they should stop bullying his Granddaughter. I really wish that.

They are also against a Brexit that doesn’t allow the advantages of Brexit - like signing trade deals. No independent trade policy is “unacceptable” to 50% - including the largest no of both Tory and Labour voters...
