Open source is great, but one thing that gets to me is seeing people asking for fixes/features and bumping threads in my projects while I'm not able to work on it. I'll get to it eventually, but I keep hoping I'm not getting in they way of their projects 😅

Nice! The github list is really helpful, thank you for sharing! We have been using it at Clearbit as well and I want to make sure I have some good resource with folks interested in learning it internally 😀

Tech twitter: What are the best resources out there to learn graphql? I know there is a ton of articles, but trying to look for other options that could help people trying to get more familiar with it. idk, maybe a workshop or something.

3 traits that seem to predict wild success in people: • Detail-oriented: sweats the small stuff so much they absolutely master it • Scrappy: driven to solve any problem they face without expecting others' help • Self-aware: doubts themselves and rarely assume they know best

Thinking about productivity and its tools * Your email is what *others* think you should work on. * Your Todo list is what *you* think you should work on. * Your calendar is (usually) what you *actually* work on. How much do they overlap in your world?

Started "First break all the rules", the book tries to understand the correlation between the environemnt a manager can help to create and high quality teams, going beyond regular wisdom. Pretty well written. Specially helpful if you assuming a new team/position/company.

It's 2024. Your head rests against a cool window. Acid rain trickles down outside. "How much for this article," you ask your editor. "It can't be for free or for 'the exposure'." "We pay in Libra," the AI replies. You sigh. Your breath fogs the window. "I'll take the exposure"

And how do you do it? You communicate yourself, build trust, get buy in from people, collaborate as a team on solutions and ideas. I guarantee that having better communication will pay off!

As a manager one of your main responsibilities is to facilitate information flow, keep the pipes clean, create pumps to force the information to keep moving, jump in to unclog if necessary and make sure it's sustainably helping people instead of preventing them of doing their job
