I think that the Pokémon-esque evolution of “like” is “hype,” where people want to be associated with you because of others’ positive opinions of you, and by extension, your work.

I dunno. Maybe I haven’t been faced with anyone truly great enough to counter their garbage personality, but my experience has been that being a conscientious/healthy member of the community (aka having friends) gets your more commissions/plays/opportunities.
