I’ve had awful luck with the direct Twitch to YouTube export. I stream/record in 1080p and it looks worse than 480 on YouTube, so I manually upload from my machine (which is why I’m so far behind).

For all the talk about AI and ML, my QuickBooks app mileage tracker still can’t tell that driving my son to/from school is always personal and should just stop bothering me about it. Would love to see more focus on fixing mundane annoyances than self-driving cars.

One of my favorite parts of working on a search engine in the early 90’s was normalizing (stemming) words like that. So many exceptions! It was fun to run exceptions through it to see how weird it would come out.

It seems like growth- vs. fixed-mindset doesn't make much of a difference during an individual moment, but is something that takes time to have an effect. This is in the context of the "backlash" against growth mindset interventions and the failure to provide positive results.

In this case, it's in a school context, so measurable difference in performance (grades, etc.).

Exactly! I'm trying to figure out better language for "matches expectation" (whether it's a passing or failing test) and "surprise" (where didn't pass when it was expected, or failed in a _different_ way than expected).

Wish there was more glass blowing in “Blown Away” from . Maybe that’s the way these things are done (I don’t generally watch these competitive shows), but some of the glasswork is incredible and want to see more of it being done.

Interesting — Growth Mindset might not help for an instant in time (while one is taking a test), but might help over a longer period of time (over a months-long semester). But, it’s still not completely understood.

Important to remember that cognitive integration and learning design is not just happening at the curricular level- but als in our students minds!
