What happened and went wrong is an important and legitimate story, but I hope that at least as much attention is paid to how it was recovered from, and how that process can bolster, rather than reduce, our confidence in elections. Transparency is critical going forward. 2/2

Dslreports is a fine consumer test. Whether it can go 300mbs is less clear. And I was giving a plug for the gold standard test of flent rrul.

I haven't personally measured the bufferbloat in 300Mbps AT&T service, but I would guess it is significant from my experience. The gold standard test is the RRUL test: see . The IQrouter is probably your best bet.

President Trump was impeached for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. By refusing to call witnesses and compel documents, Senate Republicans have chosen to become accomplices in his cover-up.

Make no mistake: the argument by the President and his lawyers that it is somehow OK to accept assistance from a foreign government is an open invitation to Russia, China, and other adversaries to interfere in future elections.

This is why it’s legal to rob banks as long as you plan to put the money to good use.

Let's be clear about what this updated argument actually amounts to which is that the president can abuse the powers of his office with a corrupt motive so long as he can come up with any articulated rationale about why it was in the national interest, no matter how implausible.

I don't think people fully grasp the constitutional danger of this moment. If the Senate were to refuse to call relevant witnesses with direct testimony of grave presidential wrongdoing then we can no longer understand impeachment to be a genuine check on executive overreach.

John Bolton has only until Friday morning to go on TV, tell his story, and thereby try to compel the Senate to hear it—as a majority of Americans are demanding. RETWEET if you want him to get in front of a camera and tell America what he knows.

The President’s lawyers say this is about a “policy debate.” It is not. Unless that policy provides that a president can be as corrupt as he chooses and there is nothing Congress can do about it. That must never be the policy of the United States.

The C7 runs out of CPU for bandwidth shaping ~>150Mbps. For a turn-key router that "just works" for family/friends I highly recommend the router. Does automatic updates, does tuning for ISP sag, and tracks OpenWrt upstream pretty closely.

Let’s imagine it wasn’t Joe Biden. Let’s imagine it was any one of us. Let’s imagine the most powerful man in the world was asking a foreign nation to conduct a sham investigation of us. What would we think about it then? Because next time, it might be.

Just left the secure room having read the classified document regarding VP Pence’s Sept 18 call w Zelensky. 1. Nothing in it is classified. It should be made part of the public record immediately. 2. Hiding evidence of wrongdoing through bogus classification is unacceptable.

So here’s where we are: the Senate GOP won’t subpoena documents from the White House – and won’t subpoena documents from the State Department. If they truly believe in a fair impeachment trial, why are they hiding evidence?
