Young people have helped lead all our great movements. How inspiring to see it again in so many smart, fearless students standing up for their right to be safe; marching and organizing to remake the world as it should be. We've been waiting for you. And we've got your backs.

In Massachusetts, we have some of the toughest gun laws in America. We also have the fewest gun deaths. Congress, pay attention.

Take our survey-- how do you like the Haverhill 311 system? Should it remain in the budget this year? (This is the first in a series of budget surveys to help us gain feedback to put together the FY 19 budget. )

The only thing more stunning than the scale of Russian interference uncovered today is the fact that an American President is taking no action to protect our country against an ongoing threat. This is a dereliction of duty.

When the assault weapons ban was in place, the number of gun massacres fell by 37% and the number of people dying from gun massacres fell by 43%. The ban was effective. It's time to bring it back.

Great to see the kids from the Nettle School Learning for Life program. I had each kid sit in my chair and be “Mayor for a Minute.” Love seeing the kids!

This weapon was illegal in the USA between 1994-2004. Uses of it in mass shootings declined. And America was still a free nation with a right of self-defense. There's no reason we can't renew the Assault Weapon Ban today.
