What a refreshing thing for an elected leader to acknowledge that they are stressed and scared. It makes you human . I would like to see more attention though to some of the other really talented freshmen like .

Great time today at Merrimack Valley Chamber Mayors Managers Breakfast. I touted successes last year: 6 new restaurants, abt 200 new industrial jobs, great downtown projects esp. Haverhilll Heights Lupoli project.

Many liberal Democratic local officials, including me, who have to balance budgets, often have to disagree with local unions. This is not a contradiction for Beto at all, it is an affirmation that he puts the public good first.

I do not care who is to blame. The job of elected officials is to solve problems not to cause them. Compromise, give a little, stop digging in and stop negotiating in public. Innocent people are being hurt. Stop this stupid shutdown.

Congressman , respectfully , I thought conservatives were for less government, fewer executive powers, less spending and a balanced budget? When did conservatives decide to endorse this big government strong executive powers idea?

Trump in the Oval just now: "This is not a fight I wanted." Trump Dec. 11: If we don't get what we want, one way or the other... I will shut down the government ... So I will take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down. I'm not going to blame you for it.

It is not a sign of weakness to try to figure out a middle ground. It is a sign of strength. Both sides need to indicate a willingness to listen & to compromise.
