REALLY good point! Can you do your session without slides etc? That happened to me at a book festival and I had to wing it! Thankfully worked out well but was an important lesson.

I do Illustrator visits and I always go on a journey through my books with various drawing challenges ( Manatee in a Minute!!), step by step drawings we do together, huge drawings where everyone draws on the same big bit of paper. Lots of fun and interaction!

Lots of inventive, imaginitive, descriptive and intuitive creative explorations with both P7 classes yesterday! It’s amazing what working with a humble postcard can result in! Thanks for inviting me 😊

is by Catherine Rayner for "Augustus abd his Smile" (2006). I've been exploring tigers in books in honour of Judith Kerr. I love Catherine's animals, full of life and creative mark-making. This tiger is gorgeous...

I remember asking Kerr if the tiger symbolised the 1960s sexual revolution where normal mores and suburban life became upended by this wild and exotic creature. She told me no, it was about a tiger coming to tea.
