While "AWS is the Great Satan" is interesting and all, more interesting is the ever-dwindling number of commits to . Is this just a "well, it's basically finished so no need to contribute" phenomenon, or something else? Your thoughts, please

think we've mistaken 'lots of commits' with healthy. good software can be done (excluding maintenance) with the code. the greatest really.

Also keep in mind that the whole point of kubernetes is to be a platform. At some point, the bulk of the work moves from the core platform itself to things building on top of the platform. Lots of commits for example in things like istio, kubedb, etc. instead of the core now.
