Injustice is when the application of illegitimate coercive power is taken to indicate the coercer being a powerful ally rather than an enemy.

Normal businesspeople are trying to maintain or gain position in politics. Including class signalling and avoiding blame. Businesses as a whole don't have coherent objectives. Attempts to write about them, such as The Gervais Principle, come out looking absurdly nihilistic.

Normal businesses are not trying to make money. (Neither are normal businesspeople)

Philosophical pragmatism is insufficiently truth-oriented to ground out its claims of practicality in utility accruing to any agent, so "practical" means a more degenerate local condition such as "things going swimmingly" which is conflated with utility through sleight of hand.

I do think implicit is better than explicit; explicit is easier to pattern match and ignore. Advanced edgelording doesn't look like edgelording, it looks like obliviousness.

The most mad I've made Twitter was from none of those things, but instead was from proposing a hypothetical that, implicitly, propagates morally changed information: Such propagation can also be done with questions:

Detecting bad behavior is a red queen's race. That doesn't mean "don't use heuristics", it means "keep tracking reality, keep being curious, keep innovating". The most problematic (replicable) bad behavior isn't usually smart, and can be out-thought.

Soldiers who have reached a stalemate and are therefore at ceasefire still remain hostile to each other, in a way that civilians at peace are not, which is why they interpret unusual motion as threat.

True, and simultaneously euphemistic. The misreading described is itself hostile, as it's made under a background assumption of war of all against all.

Perhaps the idea I'm expressing is actually, itself, not nice, such that making a nice statement that expresses the same thing requires much more boilerplate text than expressing it the way I did.

Maybe physical continuity implies everything is on a continuum with everything else, which goes to show how weak of a statement it is.

Doesn't express the same thing. "On a continuum with" is a weak condition, compatible with there being very large differences in level of sanity.

The biggest lie psychiatry ever told is that normality is sane. This is falsified by social psychology.

broke: relying on opaque Twitter algorithm to find new people to follow bespoke: directly perusing follower graph of interesting people to find new people to follow

Related: if you call someone a “cult leader” when they have no more influence over their “followers” than a therapist, clergyman, teacher, or boss, then you’re using an authoritarian double standard.
