So important. My son always wants the “girl toy” and not having to give him a pep talk before asking for one would be nice.

Went to and grabbed the kids happy meals for dinner (don’t you dare judge me). We were asked “would you like a Spirit or Hotwheels toy?” for each meal. Do you know why this minor change in language so important?

It’s so exciting. My son turned 14, and now he knows everything! Everything! I don’t have to tell him anything anymore because he already knows! In fact, he knows more than I do AND more than his dad does! We couldn’t be more thrilled. What a joyous time.

Well I don’t need to worry about offending my tween by what I share on Instagram because she’s texting me screenshots of every photo from the last 7 years she’d like me to delete.

Sure, parenting middle schoolers and teenagers is hard, but do you remember being one? YIKES. Please don’t forget that these kids need our empathy as much as they do our life lessons.

Yesterday I lost my husband. My girls lost their dad. Our relationship wasn’t perfect but I loved him & I rooted for him to be his best. He was so much more, so much better, than his last confused & scared moments. There are ALWAYS brighter days ahead. Don’t ever give up on that.

My dad has an expired CVS coupon on his fridge for $10 off Always. 100% sure he’s saving it because he thinks it’s good forever and I couldn’t love him more right now.

Boy child: Wow, I can walk on top of this snow but you’re big enough to sink right down! We might need to work on a few things before he’s old enough to date.

Me: You know, one nice thing about being snowed in all weekend is we haven't had to spend any money. Wife: (clicking add to cart) So nice.

Haven’t met your new neighbors yet? Take the dog out wearing snowman pajama pants and your daughter’s pig slippers. They’ll be right out.

How is it okay for to engage in name calling and tweeting fake images against the third highest ranking person in our government? I know, he does it to world leaders and 16-year-old Nobel winners. It is NOT okay and NOT normal. We have to demand he puts a stop to it!

America just needs a mom to be like, “A new war? You got new war money? You never even finished the last two. We have plenty of war at home.”

I have a cold and it’s pretty bad but my wife has a husband with a cold and apparently that’s way worse.
