Here's the entire interview with and David Jones Media. Take a second to watch the whole thing because she makes even greater points throughout the entire interview than she does in the viral clip that is circulating. Her Monopoly comparison is spot on.

Claudia Eller has hired some excellent journalists and is a trailblazer. But part of blazing a trail, I believe, is to lift up other underrepresented groups. Why did her op-ed reckoning to do more only come just NOW? (1/5)

It's only noon on the west coast but I'm already so, so moved by how many of you have mobilized for . Thank you for mailing your cards, baking your cakes and making your art. Let's keep pressure on the Louisville admin to bring her justice.

Breonna Taylor was a first responder. She was an EMT who showed up for people when they needed it most. She is more than a hashtag. She is more than what happened to her. But the officers involved need to be brought to justice so her family and our country can begin to heal.

Breonna Taylor would have been 27 years old today. She isn’t, because three Louisville cops shot her to death in her own bedroom. No arrests have been made. I wrote last month about the slain EMT and why she was essential, long before the pandemic arrived.

was, and is, a protest. It's a no-brainer that white LGBTQ+ people and their allies should support, and join, the Black Lives Matter movement. My debut charts the history and makes it plain.

This is a great sentiment but 9/10 this will just lead to us not getting hired. I’ve low balled myself on numerous occasions because as a Black creator your options are usually take crumbs or take nothing.

We have reporters seeing dozens of arrests of protesters with no provocation, for the second night in a row. We have reports of officers charging at protesters with batons, hours after the governor said "they don't do that."

A really significant Black Lives Matter protest going on in Burbank right now. Like Glendale it was a sundown town in its early history.

One thing I’d like to see more of are Black journalists/critics moderating Q&A’s and panels across the industry and not just only Black centric films & TV. Seeing pictures & fan art of moderating the sold-out Portrait Q&A was inspiring to see. I want more of that.

People of color: what do you do when someone who once told you in complete seriousness your vote should only count as half because you’re half-Asian starts posting about what an ally they are to POC? Assume they’ve changed? Call them out? Walk away? Asking for a me.
