So while it might play some small role in some part of the clusters, it's hard to come up with any account in which it's the main thing going on.

We considered this carefully! Any wholesale effect affecting all of F1 and F2 will be washed out by our normalization. And all of our clusters involve near-by vowels pulling in opposite directions, so can't be easily explained by articulatory setting.

It's allowed here, really! But we're feeling acutely aware of how privileged we are here in NZ right now....

This is bad. ICE just told students here on student visas that if their school is going online-only this fall, the students must depart the United States and cannot remain through the fall semester.

Żygis and Fuchs find eyebrows are higher when whispering or if speakers aren’t visible to each other, particular the right one - suggest lack of F0 is compensated for with orofacial expressions (eyebrows and lip aperture).

If you don't have access to labphon, and you want to see our talk on covariation, it's also available here: . (This was about the 100th version of the visualizations - so we're pleased you liked them!)

Some thoughts after watching videos for a few days: There's a lot to watch, so start now. Cramming it all in to 3 days will be hard & live Q&As won't be helpful if you haven't watched in advance. To reiterate ⬇️, leave some comments to let ppl know their work was seen!

I'd like to propose that if you've watched a whole video but can't make the Q&A, you should leave *some* comment so the authors know you stopped by--people want to know! We should agree that "This is a cool study!" is fine & insightful comments aren't always required.

2 of my boys are able to study at uni partly due to the scholarships provided by their iwi incorporation who own this label. There are many more like them. It's a win win situation for my guys' wine drinking parent.
