SlackHQ need an option for a channel everyone can observe but only select led users can send messages. AFAIK that’s not currently possible. For large open source projects that want public discussion but not the public interruptions to that discussion.

So much great stuff at but looking back meeting so many other folks in person that I've only known online or by name for so many years was the highlight for me. and all the old friends too. Thanks!

"Technical limits" is not an acceptable excuse for lack of transparency. Discussions certainly don't need to happen on Slack. Even so, Private Slack channels have logs that could _at least_ be published. (I am _not_ advocating retroactively publishing a log believed to be priv.)

Interesting because I've been noticing I make a lot more typos lately even on desktop. I think I'm coming to "expect" auto-correct to fix things. Im/in gets me a lot.

You could be right, it could be both are exhausted, but one thing in 100% sure of is that both sincerely have the best interest of WordPress in mind and it’s ok for them and others to disagree about what that exactly is.

I disagree, there is no reason decisions should be made in private. I moderated public chat would be productive and transparent.

Rewatch it a couple times and it looks more like awkward language (unusual for Matt) and less like a jab. Responsive images also just@comes off as a bad joke. Regardless ’s point is more important, transparency and accurate depiction of “we”

the make/core handbook does have a section on avoiding the use of “we” when posting updates. I like the idea of using it with a description of who was involved and a link to the decision conversation.

. and those conversations should have happened in the open, even if it was moderated/limited to core release leads speaking. If you can’t do that with slack you need a new tool that provides that.

IMHO, upgrade your NAS. Easier that way. However, I ran Plex on an Intel NUC directly attached to TV for a couple years before upgrading my NAS.
