I’ve seen a dozen different sites where the widget admin page won’t load because the site has 10,000 tags and some stupid widget is trying to put all 10k in a drop down. I predict mass casualties from this. Unbounded queries is a spectacularly stupid idea.

True for software versions, but not for API versions... Which remains the problem in the WordPress ecosystem, no clear documentation of API versions. What people fear is breakage of non-core software (themes, plugins externals) not using a versioned API.

I could see building my own PM/Sales/Everything tool in it... but why when we already have those things in good prebuilt tools. If I needed a friendly "filemaker" style DB it'd be cool, but I don't.

Note, AirTable looks amazing but is more a spreadsheet/database hybrid, I can think of all sorts of ways to use it. However, it's down and dirty tool I'm daydreaming of.

This is why I ask your advice so often on best in class business tools, you've seen it all!

Running a business I work a lot with spreadsheets, but being a developer I love simple fast tools... The result is I often find myself wishing there were a equivalent of Excel.

When you tell your child that they were harmed because another person likes them, you’re connecting pain with love, which normalizes being abused.

wth? I trust your business decisions quite a lot, but Joe Sullivan doesn’t sound like a good fit for ’s stellar reputation of transparency and trust. I dumped Dropbox over the Condi Rice hire, am I going to have to dump CF too? Trust in CloudFlare shaken

Did something this years ago in Thailand with a local seamstress, took a shoulder back and custom lined it to suit exactly my needs...loved that bag too

I think I’m going to add my own that reads “please don’t include signature in your email, it wastes a lot of paper and printer ink, especially after several quoted replies get included.”

They all annoy me, but it’s the ones that register as “an attachment” annoy me most.

I also run into the extreme reverse of that and it can drive me insane. Stop asking me about my life, I’m not trying to make a new friend here and just fix my very simply problem! Keep it to “Hi Mark, I hope you’re well today and can help me out?”

Automatically inserted email signatures with images are one of my biggest pet peeves on the internet... Am I alone in loathing this atrocity?
