we need some more ideas for Haskell's possible participation in GSoC 2020! if you have some ideas that you don't have time to implement yourself, how about mentoring a student to take care of it? summer.haskell.org/ideas.html

What's the scope for project ideas? Does it have to be related to GHC or core libraries, or can it be more wide-ranging?
Would a suggestion for a new Haskell library be a good fit?

The scope is hard to quantify and it depends a lot on the student and mentor involved. But anything that a student can do that improves the ecosystem & libraries is a candidate!

I'm not the right person to mentor for it, but a Haskell version of Jane Street's Incremental (opensource.janestreet.com/incremental/) might be a good summer project.
