The React Native runtime in playjs is kinda the same as expo, i.e you cannot add external native code, right?

A year ago I left my job to dedicate myself to this open source project. 🎉 Announcing Reakit v1 🎉 👉 This is the best project I’ve ever done in my 17 years of programming. I’m sure it'll help many companies ship accessible web apps with ease. ♿️

You can do ‘expo init —template bare-minimum’ and it will setup a normal react native cli project with unimodules pre installed and configured. That said, I believe the docs is straight-forward enough to follow 🤔

Hey! This is an awesome and beautiful app 😍, been searching for a decent audio book app in Vietnamese lately. Is there a possibility to download the audio book to listen offline? (While on the plane etc...)

Nice work 😮! I’m trying to understand the props of that library 😅. Is it correct that you used the prop ‘contentPosition’ to interpolate the content of your bottom sheet?

Transferring bytes over the network costs energy, so smaller apps means less energy is waisted when installing or updating. If you have React Native app on the store you can help your planet 🌍 and shave 20MB off its size with a single command, here is how

Yes! I do notice that drawback but for our team that’s manageable.

I eventually migated to use bare workflow with expo unimodules. That gave me the pure react native environment to use with detox.

Hi! Usually I put my own axios instance in a file called httpClient.js in my project. From that you can import the client in other files that you want. Hope that this helps!

When I struggle to debug an algorithm I like to write up what I want to happen in a conversational form like this, and then use that to verify my code does what I want.

The Wanna Kicks iOS app is a killer mobile AR experience that makes sense. Makes me want to buy shoes. Everyone I've shown has their mind blown. Feels like a new era of mobile shopping experiences is about to be born across many categories. Any other fun examples you've seen?

One of my most controversial software opinions is that your sleep quality and stress level matter far, far more than the languages you use or the practices you follow. Nothing else comes close: not type systems, not TDD, not formal methods, not ANYTHING. Allow me to explain why.
