Let's see what parcel and webpack think about that direction:

What if... hot reload worked natively in JS? I think I'd prefer this to bringing import.meta.hot to the various bundlers. github.com/jkrems/embrace…

I'll also mention sproutcore (+ember) and knockout because I was really rooting for them back then. Same two year window.

There's a lot that happened in the following 8 years but I don't think so many fundamental things ever changed so quickly again.

Doing some research and it's incredible how many things "suddenly" changed around 2010, just after ES5 became a thing. ES5, node, CJS, browserify, AMD, requirejs, Coffeescript, Backbone. All within 2 years.

I lumped BabelScript / TypeScript / WebpackScript as “ToolScript”.

Files that use JavaScript import syntax but only work by compiling them to CommonJS or bundling them are called...

TIL: ćevapčići is a diminutive of a descendant of kebab. Never made that connection.

Okay, so anyway, here's parts 1-3 about Most Of What We Know About The Minoans Is A Scam, and I'm going to get some tea and proceed with part 4.

Hey you...yes you! Do you work on JavaScript? What would make it easier to develop? Well it's your lucky day:
Welcome @Google as one of our onsite sponsors. Stop by and tell them about what'd you'd like to see in JS Dev tools and the future of the web. #angular #sass #closure pic.twitter.com/Zg9DopVGIY

There’s a tiny footnote saying “nicely formatted JSON”. But it’s true for what JSON.stringify typically produces.

Only when it’s pure enough to have no side effects at all. No input. No output. Just an innocent collection of function calls.

To clarify: definitely not the most used operator by a large margin in my day-to-day work.

Just yesterday I refactored CLI code that had two flags where exactly one of the two was required. XOR is handy for that if condition.

Where would you look for an illustration for a mostly personal website? I'll default to posting on fiverr but wonder if there's a better option.

@v8js I tried to request a review by following chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+… but the CL still says "Work In Progress" with a warning that reviewers won't see it. Is there a step I missed (happy to update the docs afterwards)? chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/v8/v8/+/1995…

packages of "type":"wasm" not having any support for any .js files inside its package boundary seems, sane? making it anything except WASM is likely untenable to land after some chatter
