It made campaigning on climate change virtually impossible for a long time, knowing that we wouldn’t get coverage and people thought it just wasn’t important enough to care about.

2. Within the next 3 yrs, our NZ history will be compulsory in all schools. History lessons will likely include Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the arrival of Māori, & early colonisation. This is so important & I'm really proud of this Govt for putting our shared history front & center.

We did two really good things today. 1. We unveiled a plaque in our Parliament that commemorates the NZ wars. Until today, the debating chamber had 33 memorial plaques & wreaths, but our NZ Wars weren’t included. Kia ora who advocated so hard to get this over the line.
