I don't think so, that prompted people to turn their TV sets on and watch the news as it happened.

I still enjoy it but I can definitely see where you are coming from, If I want to play 'fun' decks I have to wait until I hit one of the breakpoints in the ranked system where you can't fall back down.

We often hear economic forecasts were all wrong. Nothing has happened! The doomsters were wrong! Not right, per fascinating new paper by et al which shows sterling crash cost h'hold £870/year - or the nation £450m a week! 1/thread

1) it depends what you mean by loads, there are fewer coming than in, say, 2015-16 2) Some are refugees (who don't necessarily have the right to work) 3) others presumably pass the requirements for visas... Give it a go once the UK has properly left and see how you do...

Add to this a much larger child benefit payment over a longer period and the fact that many states heavily subsidise childcare, and suddenly 🇩🇪 has many good aspects for working mothers. Much progress on this was in the last 15 years, so maybe Allison just has out of date info.

German parental leave is very generous.I haven't directly used it, but colleagues and acquaintances have plenty of leave time and I think that the differences between the systems make direct comparison non-trivial.

This was shown in the recent BBC 'Seven worlds one planet' series. (in case somebody doesn't know and wishes to see more about this behaviour)

This is the strangest thing I've ever seen written about Hugo Rifkind: the far right demonstrably detest him. It's precisely this sort of self-aware, thoughtful, and conciliatory piece that they object to.
