Google Scholar seems to be altering scholarly citation patterns. Citations are getting more concentrated: the same few papers get cited over and over, has found. People lazily cite whatever papers the search engine ranks highly.

L'effetto della collocazione politica è enorme rispetto agli altri (l'ordinata cambia nei plot) e fa pensare che sia l'unica cosa che conti (tutte le altre correlazioni perdano significatività se si tiene conto di posizione politica). Ci sono informazioni su educazione / reddito?

Yes! I think that is the case. The definition(s) commonly used is too coarse to see competitive exclusion... I'm working on that :)

Thanks! I know this great work and I really like it! I don't fully agree with your interpretation. The # of species is limited by the total # of resources (externally supplied+produced by others). They observe local extinctions (both in the data and in the model, fig 1b & 4a)
