Good to see this. The ad industry has been trying to slip the defintion of personal data for a long time. It's a pivotal issue so hope EU holds its nerve and enforces against this.

Excellent news. We architected to build a social platform that does not need identity for exactly the issue highlighted here. But some transactions will need identity so tracking this carefully. In fact we need identity services as part of a UK gov project.

Within 20 mins of mentioning Foursquare in a telephone conversation wrt I get an email from them about privacy. happening too often. need to investigate who is using my Mic to collect such data. Suspect Google.
