This is a petty but I would just like to point out that there was an idea that apparently got a lot of press while I was on my Twitter fast that I suggested years ago but was ignored. It’s fine though. I’m not bitter. IT’S FINE, PEOPLE.

Technically, versions of this religious belief already exist in several faith traditions. This scenario is, near as I can tell, entirely feasible.

For what it’s worth: Bran didn’t have the “best story.” Arya did. I didn’t even like this show and mostly ignored it for years and even *I* know that.

So unless I missed it, Pete Buttigieg just did a Fox News town hall and Chris Wallace just…Didn’t ask him about faith? On Fox News? Which means CNN is asking more faith questions of candidates than Fox News? What?

You know, Millennials do, in fact, vote in lower percentages than older generations. But: 1) Insulting them probs won’t fix that. 2) Regardless of one’s political persuasion, seems odd to blame the younger generation for not doing enough to counteract…your own generation?

Serious question: why list philosopher first here, and not theologian? No doubt Gutiérrez is also a philosopher, but is that the *first* title history would give him?

Yes: urban “costal elites” are super elitist about where they are from, and can quickly descend into obnoxious, self-referential pretension. …And so can Midwesterners. And South-westerners. And Texans. And most everyone, really. Except Southerners. We’re just correct.
