I got to know Furaha during my PhD at Sheffield. She is an intelligent, compassionate woman who is a real asset to this country. I am completely appalled.

I can see it now... a t-shirt saying, “I didn’t do a power analysis and/or heterogenous sample,” oooooohhhh the horror 👻

Yes. I spent a year as an Optical Consultant and unless the lenses are the same brand/prescription/size, you could potentially harm your eyes - not withstanding the fact that if they’re not the right size it will be mega uncomfortable.

... two important factors seem to be how ready and motivated the patient is to change, as well as the ‘therapeutic alliance’.

Another great question! I am only just starting to learn about psychotherapy in any depth, and it appears that there is some debate about what the ‘active ingredient’ is general (let alone for NES)...

Good question! It’s one we’re still trying to answer. This abstract says that people who attended more sessions with their therapist had fewer seizures at the end... but it’s not possible to determine whether that was cause or effect. 🤔

“Psychotherapy provides long-term seizure freedom for > 50% of patients.”

Thank you - I know I’m early days in training so very encouraging to hear I’m on the right track. Also, I’m always keen to discuss anything FND/feminism/inequality related... hopefully, there will be another opportunity for this in the not-too-distant future?

So today was my last day working on *sniff* Feeling mega loved and appreciated after this extremely thoughtful leaving gift. So much so that it led to me attempt some sort of artsy arrangement and photograph of said gifts. 💁‍♀️Thank you so much!

I welcome the Court's judgement. No one in their right mind believed Boris Johnson's reason for shutting down Parliament. I urge the Prime Minister to immediately recall Parliament so we can debate this judgement and decide what happens next.
