Back when smoking was allowed pretty much everywhere, I lit a congratulatory cigarette for having debugged a production issue on day one of a launch, at the server rack, in the server room, with my boss next to me, with a halon fire protection system.

From what I’m hearing, sounds like worked out a way to do pretty much like what I suggested here. Licensed ES will be available on gcp as a managed service.

Y’all should’ve just worked out a licensing deal, and if needed, passed price increases onto customers. This fork is the nuclear option... another Oracle Linux. The community would be crazy to support this.

If Apple wants an insurgence of sales, offer a product like a MacBook Pro that has no touch bar and bring back the excellent keyboard. All those people holding on to buying used 2013-2015 MacBooks will finally dump their money back into your company.

Am waiting for the year that reInvent goes full Red Wedding, locking the doors and announcing that every attendee's product or service is now a forthcoming AWS offering. Or maybe that was this year?

I’m seeing a global outage on all AWS EC2 console dashboards for the last 10 mins or so... I thought each region was isolated? They share common services?
