A wonderful gift for Christmas. Great to watch these incredible films. Mostly shot with small crews. Ceylan started out by shooting his films himself with friends and family. A true master of cinema & inspiration

I saw Tom Waits back in the 80’s at the Hammersmith. Still remember it to this day. He was like a cross between a manic scarecrow and Johnny Rotten. Fantastic performance.

I write a lot. The thing that interests me the most (beyond characters) is risks and tension in scenes. The question of what is at stake for your main character is a really good one, and often tough to crack. But if you get it right...bingo! A page turner.

Take your time. Write the scenes you want to write first. You can write the other scenes when you are ready. Know your characters inside & out. Any problems with your story will be because you do not truly understand your characters. Last one, enjoy the process.

Conservative party donors, backing Brexit but at the same time seeking EU citizenship via Cyprus. Pardon my French but ordinary British citizens are being screwed over by their elite.
