It became all too apparent that this was one of those "attracted a bunch of good actors and ended up so chock full with such loosely defined or motivated shit it had to be based on a good book" movies.

#5. Actually I bet the book was pretty good.

#4. Preachers project cartoonish piety as a guise for their lust for blood and sex and power. This over-serious movie promises graphic violence and nudity and celebrities!

#3. Great actors are expendable apparently. Sebastian Stan thankfully also dies.

#2. Spiderman doesn't appear until 30 minutes in. And he doesn't save the day.

#1. An attempt to be compared to the Coens and Hell And High Water. A fail at both.

Netflix's trailer for Devil All The Time caught my attention. Tom Holland? Bill Skarsgard? Shadowy scenes? Here are my reviews:

My 6 month old goes through the same progression of don’t-hold-me-have-to-try-and-hold-me movements. Wonderfully depicted (picted?), Lauren.

Ah, I’m weak too or I would have just gone to bed instead of checking this one more goddamn time. Let’s spend those hours while our wives and kids are asleep being silly together somehow instead of enraged.

Well then do you, my friend! (You know you’re just raging into a void, changing no minds and you and I are doing this instead of figuring out a way to have fun online together [also, sorry, I just watched The Social Dilemma and know I’m punching a friendly face. Going to bed.])

I think if you cut yourself off from the news until after the election that you could write a book about it.

The Stereo MCs knew in 1992 what we had to do to avoid where we are today. And we just didn't listen.

Commitment to Agreement helps us minimize the amount of "stuff" needing to be negotiated or "figured out" on an stage. A good thing. But "Acceptance of you and Assertion of me" is the non-pithy way of saying "Yes, and" that fosters diverse thought & collaboration. Better.

If you feel like you can't relate to your class, I'm sorry. I hate seeing attrition through levels lead to a homogenous group. Improv doesn't benefit from homogeneity. Let's each stress our uniqueness and stretch this unique community's ability to accept.

Friends, still spots left in a few of our virtual classes starting THIS Sunday. Don't let overthinking impede great scenes, "Get Out of Your Head." Create "Characters & Relationships" with patterns of emotional behavior. Improvise a "Rom-Com"!
