Nope. When they undertook that case they didn’t know about the balance shortfalls and weren’t out to protect anyone. It was a shakedown. An opportunity for Preet to pad his resume with a big settlement. If some FTP/UB customers ended up better off for it, that was incidental.

Yeah I can’t remember numbers either but I’ve spoken to him about it. I think like way under 1m lifetime cash game hands.

i have rarely or never played anything where i got over 500 h/hr. i think you need a specific skill set to be able to play remotely decent poker at that volume and many/most people can't learn it even if they really try. maybe i'm just unusually bad at multitabling.

Sounds like a fun challenge. GL. Be prepared for it to be hard :)

It's definitely doable, and for a certain kind of freak it's probably even pretty easy. But anyone who hasn't done something comparable before is likely to be really underestimating how hard it is. For most people, the fatigue from 4 tabling zoom is very real.

8 hours a day is 240 hours if you don't take any days off. i don't think you're gonna get the ~420 hands per hour you need if you're two tabling.

300k is very impressive. 100k isn't that hard if you're just trying to win a bet, but it's too much if you're trying to play well at mid-high stakes and don't have a ton of experience grinding online.

100k hands in a month is a ton. when i played a lot of online poker i think i averaged like 300k a year or something. don't think i ever did 100k in a month. and i did SNE 4 or 5 years.

If he were sincerely concerned about the constitutional issues, he could go easily announce that church going is discouraged but will not be forcibly prevented. The ‘essential’ classification is transparently a dangerous, pandering stunt.

Yeah I mean hypothetically I can imagine scenarios where I’d take that idea seriously, but it seems like a real stretch to imagine anything like that is at play with Ron DeSantis classifying churches as essential with respect to the shutdown order.

Yes, but not really for similar reasons. Rebelling against your government in the name of “liberty” seems entirely unlike feeling committed to uphold the constitution irrespective of the harm that doing so would entail.

Nah, thinking rule following and life saving are comparable virtues is insane.

Eh, there probably is a compelling freedom of religion case to be made. If you can get a legal exemption from drug laws because you need peyote to practice your religion, you can probably get an exemption from staying at home because you need to congregate. I just don't care.

Fine. Let someone be the church that sues to stay open in the pandemic. Maybe they'll even win. In the meantime you'll have established clear guidance that going to religious services is a terrible idea, instead of doing the opposite of that.

idk, I'm not very sympathetic to anything resembling a slippery slope argument here. The exceptionality of present circumstances is pretty clear.
