Really is becoming a concern that basics like WC back rest and not having a lid are being overlooked in these facilities.

There doesn’t seem to be anything that would cover a university site that doesn’t also have leisure or community facilities either?

What if its a theatre blg that only does concerts? ! Or an old 400 seat theatre that now shows movies! endless debate ahead based on box A.

Just trying to understand the consultation ‘Box A’ - if you are a theatre of 501 seats, you need a CP - but a concert hall of say 1,999 opening 3x a week wouldn’t meet the 300,000 threshold!

Looking at ALVA list by visitor number (not just museums) the 300,000 seems fairly arbitrary - some sites have less visitors but acres of space and remote locations etc.

Yes - we know about CP use - just can’t work out how many museums the 300,000 trigger will hit. Seems quite a high number given how unique museums are and how long people spend there (hopefully!).

Is there any central visitor number data to work out how many this would apply to?

interesting consultation - material alteration trigger is not clear - needs further defining in practice - and if 9m/sq works perhaps should be wall mounted to flip out if way? Read and respond

Hmm. It looks robust but I wonder how long it would take a user to read it - and what would that do to crowd flow at head of stair? Seems too late to be conveying such info - particularly in busy place? Positioning seems unnatural too. *all first thoughts!

It amazes us how many new facilities are failing to get basics right. Let’s hope someone finds the missing rails and fits them!

It’s missing several grab rails?

Also a good idea to make sure any closure is icommunicated well - if only one in the building particularly important.

It says they won’t register CP’s smaller than 12sq/m with a mobile hoist. Presumably they will accept a mobile if it is 12sq/m - that said, ceiling hoist is best.
