I will make the repository public when I feel it is in a sharable shape. The idea is to define various entities like authors & venues once with their properties & short/long attrss, then compose them in each citation record, and use templates to yield specific output variations.

The motivation to use YAML was not being a cool kid, but it actually allows DRYing the data, enables easy transformations (say, using the same source in my PDF CV as well as on the HTML version of my web page), and lossy variations while keeping a detailed version of each record.

While I primarily still use self-contained per-paper plain BibTeX files, I have started experimenting with a YAML-based setup, not just for citations, but various other structured data, which can then be transformed into different forms (HTML/JSON/BibTeX etc.) using templates.

Excited to launch @restorativland today - a new project to build web museums out of archived web data collected by the @internetarchive and @archiveteam. We're building new ways (and new tools) to restore web ruins to "surfable" condition. restorativland.org pic.twitter.com/Lu5V5O6uda

This is a terrible take.
It totally misses the key point: @arxiv_org handles >10k submissions and >25m downloads per month at a cost of only $1.3m /year. @IEEEorg spends $193m (!) on publications, and @TheOfficialACM spends $33.7m.
Something stinks.

Mat, I have no doubt! From my initial tweet in thread, you'll see that I'm in awe of web archivists' generosity generally. And, in my experience, there is no group like the web archivists at Old Dominion. Absolutely amazing folks. I take yr point Sawood offers something unique!🙏🏻

This statement is applicable beyond the cited tweet, @clancynewyork. @ibnesayeed has an unreal breadth of knowledge and has often been more than willing to provide his insights from an informed standpoint.

I would also list @justin_littman's @SocialFeedMgr here & @edsu's Twarc if the intent is to fetch the API data, not the UI. Otherwise, push individual tweets & timeline to the Save Page Now of @internetarchive & @archiveis manually (or use @maturban1's ArchiveNow for the same).
