Hanging with peeps that don’t TikTok can be difficult. Saying, “Don’t look at me like that,” only engenders odd looks.

UK grocery spend is spreading out, w/# of people visiting Aldi or Lidl up from 43% in 2016
"those who said they had used one of the big four remained static at 84%, the number shopping ‘little and often’, avoiding a big main shop, soared from 11% five years ago to 17% today." twitter.com/shoppercentric…

I'm super curious what the response has been (email, etc) and how it compared to your expectations? One of the most contentious pieces? Would be interesting to get a bead on DCF entrenchment and if there are any changes afoot...

Anyone checked out Parlia (parlia.com)? It's a wiki mapping out opinions/ideas and pertains to describing rather than debating. Seems like a pretty cool idea (though I'm not a wiki expert by any means :) ) pic.twitter.com/7xS5I5pCnR

Being completely honest, I thought this was the dumbest idea when it was recommended to me several years ago. My inconsistency and stubbornness became a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's only in the past 1/2 year that I've seen the benefits.

Basically anything that gets your mind off of what you've been focusing on - so yes all of those ;) Also, if I'm at home, I'll meditate, do chores like dishwashing or laundry or prep things

If I'm nearly finished, & I stop after for the break, it's ok. However, I often find myself not stopping because I feel in the groove or pressure to finish a larger task. I can tell if I skip a few breaks (work an hour plus for instance)..my brain feels fried by EOD.

Something that has increased my work productivity (& mitigated feeling overwhelmed) is the Pomodoro Technique
- 25 min focus solely on the task at hand
- 5 min break
- After 4, 15 min break
- Repeat
I use an extension in my Chrome browser - called Marinara: Pomodoro Assistant

Things have been changing for DTC brands. Quick growth is no longer as economical, yet this is what VCs are looking for.
- Rising CAC
- Revenue wall hits at ~$50mn or less
- DTC co's likely need $100mn+ annual sales to get past Series A

I’ve found the more important question to ask is, “Why wouldn’t you exercise?” It’s a foundational habit (engenders other good habits like eating well & sleep). It’s self-care. It’s pushing yourself mentally and physically. It’s becoming a better person. It leads to better moods.

Basically chance. I was reading Light From Many Lamps and would see great quotes. I decided to check out their writings (can often see table of contents via archive/etc). Abe books is where I buy. What isn’t part random is I like the old smell (reminds me of college) + look/feel.

What do you get excited about?
Me: You mean besides exercising, sleep, and commoditized and/or poorly run businesses?
Yeah, like normal stuff.
Me: Well, recently I’ve gotten into reading old books (pre-1940’s). Then I buy more additional books based on their references. pic.twitter.com/boXFESUAvD

For kicks, I filled in orders for Vestas through YE and intake looks to be (2%) below Bloomberg's FY19 estimates. For 4Q19E, it's an estimated (38%) below consensus - tbf beat 3Q order intake by 25%. pic.twitter.com/Wz0DhZUrGb
