Church was full; 99%+ Filipinos. But very orderly, especially the Communion queues. The Faith is alive and well here in Hong Kong.

I attended the 1 pm Mass at St Joseph along Garden Road in Hkg. It has been a while since I’ve heard Mass in Tagalog in full. What a moving experience - Mass said in your own language.

We are deploying our food truck for another round of AKFeed thanks to PLDT-Smart Foundation. We will also be bringing water containers from Maynilad, blankets (also from PSF), donated Alaska milk products and food packs from the Latter Day Saints Charities.

May his soul find peace and repose in the embrace and blessings of our good Lord who has called him to His home. Patrick, I am so sorry that this had to happen - it is a devastating personal loss. My fervent and urgent prayers go with you. God bless you.

He was fair, objective but encouraging in our meetings - and more so in our bids. We - and - have lost our strongest pillar; it is best we carry his memory by accomplishing all the missions he has left with us. We all without exception will miss him.

As a friend of more than 10 years, I will always cherish the memories of meeting him for the first time in Geneva in 2007 a few months after I became SBP President, at our presentation in Tokyo for hosting the 2019 World Cup, and finally at our bid for 2023 in Geneva.

Patrick was a colossus of world basketball. His influence on the sport transcends his title as Secretary General and touches most aspects of basketball in most parts of the world. And he has been a good friend of Philippine basketball.

Patrick passed away unexpectedly last Saturday while working in the World Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. That is the patented Baumann - extremely hardworking until the end.
