An honest, scientific exchange about snake farts led to a book everyone can enjoy

A year ago, researcher @DaniRabaiotti asked biologist @AlongsideWild if snakes fart. Their conversation sparked other flatulence curiosities concerning the animal kingdom, and eventually, there was enough interest for Rabaiotti to team up with fellow science friends @PlethodoNick and @Blackmudpuppy to create the educational and entertaining Does It Fart?

Is this the most common snake related question you get? Also what's the composition of gasses in a snake fart? Are they audible?

General process of digestion is same for snakes as it is for us so that should give you idea as to diversity of fart sounds & composition.

Wait, I thought mammal farting was primarily due to swallowed air when chewing. Swallow whole, no farts.
